Artistic Director.Angelo Sylvester (he/him) is SingOUT Cincy's Artistic Director. He has built a career as a teacher of choral ensembles, voice, and brass. Ensembles under Angelo's direction have performed at conferences, on regional stages, in NYC’s Carnegie Hall, and are often praised for their energetic performances, artistic interpretation, and comprehensive repertoire selections.
He is a member of the Faculty of Indian Hill High School, in Cincinnati, where he is the Vocal Music Director. Previous positions include Director of Choirs at St. Xavier High School, La Salle High School, and Associated Conductor for the Cincinnati Boychoir. Angelo has a special interest in gender dynamics and LGBTQIA+ inclusivity in the rehearsal space. He continues engagements as a freelance performer and participates with several ensembles in Cincinnati and the surrounding areas. Angelo holds a Bachelor of Music Education and Tuba Performance from Ohio University, and Masters in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky. Learn More: angelosylvester.com |
Managing Director.Lauren Albers (she/her) is SingOUT Cincy’s Managing Director. She has professional expertise in marketing, communications, and operations, and currently works as an email marketing manager for an education technology company. Lauren has degrees in Education and Communications from Johns Hopkins University and Ohio University, respectively. She believes strongly in the power of music as a vessel to uplift queer voices and stories and is a proud member of multiple community choruses across Cincinnati.
